PROVOST SPEECH

Good evening, graduating class, esteemed faculty, family, friends, and honored guests. Today, as we gather here, we celebrate an extraordinary moment—the culmination of years of hard
work, commitment, and resilience. Graduates, this is your day. You stand here, not only having met the high standards of this institution but having done so with determination and, I imagine, a fair share of caffeine and late nights.
To the families and friends who have supported our graduates, thank you. Your belief in them has been vital, and this achievement is as much yours as it is theirs. To our faculty and staff, thank you for the passion and guidance you pour into your teaching. Your work shapes not
just these students, but the future we all share. Graduates, each of you arrived at this institution from a unique path, carrying distinct goals, dreams, and challenges. Along the way, you’ve developed skills and forged connections that are now a part of who you are. You’ve learned to solve problems, not just on paper but in the
real world. You’ve experienced the power of collaboration, the beauty of discovery, and the importance of integrity.
As you step into the world beyond these walls, I urge you to remember three things:
First, embrace changDRe. Our world is evolving faster than ever. Flexibility, creativity, and adaptability are now as crucial as any specialized knowledge. Take what you’ve learned here and be prepared to apply it in ways you never anticipated.
Second, seek purpose. Success is wonderful, but fulfillment comes from knowing that what you do has meaning, not just for you, but for others. Use your talents to contribute, to lift others, and to make an impact that reaches beyond yourself.

Finally, keep learning. Learning doesn’t stop when you leave here; it’s a lifelong journey.
Cultivate curiosity. Ask questions. Challenge the status quo. Every day brings a new opportunity to grow, to expand, and to refine who you are.
Today, you join the ranks of alumni who’ve gone on to make remarkable contributions in science, business, technology, education, the arts, and countless other fields. I am confident you, too, will make your mark.
So, as you go forth, know that you leave here with the knowledge, the skills, and the spirit to face what lies ahead. We, your mentors and supporters, are immensely proud of you. We can’t wait to see all that you will accomplish.
